New Website, New Beginnings

Alrighty world, let's begin. My name is Trevor Mizzi and it's time I brought the world up to speed on who I am, what I am doing, and what I am planning to do on a nearly day-to-day basis. Anything work related - updates, ideas, new tutorials I got a kick out of - going to post it here. Also, I am open to hearing back from everyone - what you like/do not like, ideas on projects/similar projects, or even if you want to just say 'G'day' or 'Let's collaborate on something!' - I'm easy. So, for now, I will fill you on what has happened this week: I got the website up and running under my own domain. Used to be 1001340.wix.com/folio - good luck trying to remember all that if you are not used to typing it regularly. Made it a bit easier now, for myself as well as for others - trevormizzi.com. In hand with the new website also worked on a new logo for myself, TM 3DArt. Originally was going to keep it as TM3D, but after a test audience thinking it was 3D conversion/3D film related, decided to add the 'Art' part, which helps sell what I do in terms of models and motion graphics.

On Thursday night, SAE invited my team and I to their Industry Night, where they showcased our animated film, 'Snatched', to invited members of the industry. Our film was lucky enough to receive an nomination for 'Best Animation Project' but unfortunately did not win. Regardless, still had a wonderful night, met some interesting people and was invited to talk on SAE's radio show promoting our piece.

So, where do I go from here?

Well, graduating next week Wednesday so my Bachelor of Animation (3D Modelling) will become official. At the moment I am helping a friend and colleague of mine with his idea for a short animation film, which is involving me designing a space station - bring it on! I will be finished off my Hydrozoa and Sea Wasp concept pieces, modelling and texturing wise. Whether or not they end up in an animation I will have to wait and see.
